As you stroll through the quaint Village of Brooklin, past Grass Park you will come upon the Allems House built by John Crosier Allems. This heritage building was built in 1898.
The Allems families occupied the home until it was sold to Gary Young in 1967. There was still a family connection, as Gary Young’s great grandmother, Evaline Eliza Beer, married John C. Allems’ after being widowed by George Washington Chinn.
The Youngs lived in this residence until 1983. Since then it has housed a dental office, candy store and is now the home of the Brooklin Village Medi-Spa
